63 of 63 flowered squares.

Finally I got all my squares done, now if I can detatch the child from spongbob and retake my t.v. I plan to start connecting them. I'm scared the directions are as clear as swampwater, and I've never joined crochet together *twitch*.

I found this yarn patons chunky shetland tweed at michaels where I trekked to get yet more frigging white yarn for this afghan. It screamed MAKE THE KID A SWEATER! at me, so next time I'm going to pick some up. Still searching for the perfect pattern, am looking for a cabled turtleneck, or a regular turtleneck I can design a pattern for.

Lightening, nightmares and more flowery squares oh my!

Last night I heard the single loudest boom I have ever heard in my entire life, it trumphed fireworks, the airshow, etc. I was in bed reading, and BOOM! I had no idea lightening could be that loud, I thought for sure a bomb went off or something exploded in the house. I have no clue where it hit, I went outside this morning to assess damage and I didn't see anything. It could have very well hit something in the forest down the street, but it was so loud it sounded like it got something behind the house.

Then after all of this I had a horrid dream about my kid at school. For the past 6 years I've had reoccuring dreams about highschool, you know either being naked or getting lost or not having shoes on etc. Well in this dream my kid's school was somehow connected to my highschool, we missed the bus and for some reason my husband came home from work, so we had to drive him. I got lost going to his classroom like three times, and then his teacher and a parent yelled at me for being late, lol. I'm volunteering to help out with the classes' apple party tomorrow, lets hope there is no yelling.

Now on to the afghan from hell! I don't think I've sat down once without a crochet hook in my hand in the past 5 days.

In that bag there are 54 squares, I only have 7 to go. Hopefully my next post will be of a finished afghan!

And one more day until the weekend, thank god.

I'm a terrible blogger.

And not a very good knitter/crocheter/crafter person either to be honest.

Things have been so super hectic in life since my son started Kindergarten, it's funny I thought I'd have sooo much time to do this or that, but the days have been a blur of volunteering, cleaning, homework etc.

I did recently pick back up on the flowery afghan for my bed, and now I have 44 squares done out of 63, my goal is to have it all put together by the end of October, I also need to make mittens and a hat for the munchkin.

If you haven't seen/felt this yarn SWS you must check it out, I'm thinking of doing fingerless gloves and a matching scarf in the natural pink.

Hopefully next time I post I'll have more to show for myself. And I do wonder if kindergarteners are too young to learn basic crochet? hmmm
